Prepare yourselves for a paranormal encounter at one of NYC’s most notable tourist destinations! Madame Tussauds’ wax museum is opening its brand new “Ghostbusters Experience” to visitors starting on July 1, and it’s suitable for all ages. In collaboration with Sony Pictures and virtual reality company The VOID, this state-of-the-art adventure will offer authentic props, content and tech designed just for Tussauds’ visitors.

The exhibit will include four unique rooms that are true to the 2016 Ghostbusters film—guests will encounter a subway entrance that descends to a platform and subway tracks, apparitions on a moving train, 3-D elements and smoke. Then, they'll step off the tracks and enter the basement of a haunted mansion! We don’t want to spoil the whole thing, but you can expect to experiment with movie spirit-hunting props, see a spirit-hunting crew and even take a ride on the Ecto-2. This exhibition will be a mainstay at MT!

Oh…and there’s more. You ready? A VR element (available for an extra fee), Ghostbusters: Dimension, will put you and the littles right into battle with ghosts and allow you to become a real life Ghostbuster! As a heads up, this VR offering does require guests to be 48 inches and up (everything else is open to all ages).
