Virtual reality comes to Zhuhai

Canadian-American entertainment company Lionsgate is branching out in China with an "immersive experience center" to be operated at

Novotown in Hengqin, Zhuhai.

The venture in partnership with Hong Kong-based Lai Sun Group subsidiary Lai Fung Holdings will be operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks and will offer attractions, retail and dining experiences themed around some of Lionsgate's global film franchises, including The Hunger Games, The Divergent Series and Now You See Me, among others.

The theme park, drawing on virtual reality technology, is slated for opening by the end of 2018.
