The week started out with a celebration of the success of Disney's #ShareYourEars campaign. People posted photos of themselves with that hashtag online, and Disney, in honor of Disneyland's 60th Anniversary, said it would donate $5 for each photo up to a limit of $1 million to Make-A-Wish. It was so successful, the company doubled its donation. At the celebration, Olivia Knox, center, introduced a new song called "Make A Wish," written by Jason Milligan and Alan Bruun and composed by Bret Simmons.

There was a lot more large digging equipment roaming around in the area that will eventually be the home of “Star Wars” land, as crews continued to prepare the area for the launch of construction.

The northern section of the Rivers of America in Frontierland has been completely drained of water, to allow crews to begin the realignment of the route the Mark Twain Riverboat, Columbia Sailing Ship and the Disneyland Railroad will take once work is complete on this portion in late 2017.

Meanwhile, Disneyland celebrated the finish of its very successful “Share Your Ears” campaign by doubling down on its donation to Make-A-Wish to $2 million. As part of the celebration Monday morning in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the park premiered a new song entitled “Make A Wish” to a crowd of volunteers from the foundation and wish recipients.

The annual Spring Break tradition of an Easter Egg hunt, Disney-style known as “Egg-Stravaganza,” continued throughout the Disneyland Resort as the park got busier for the season.

The Jungle Cruise was still closed for its long refurbishment, though skippers were out front offering a comical version of the attraction as only they can do, complete with stuffed animals for props. In Tomorrowland, the Autopia is still closed, though the scaffolding was slowly coming down as it gets closer to reopening in a month or so.

Over at Disney California Adventure, Grizzly River Run was full of whitewater again, as it winds down from the first of two refurbishments scheduled for the attraction this year. It was closed Tuesday, as crews were testing the ride with empty rafts.

The queue line for Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters was fairly full of riders in its first full week of operation. Those coming off the ride gave it good reviews.

Meanwhile, over at the Disneyland Hotel, the D-Ticket pool was open to swimmers and in Downtown Disney, construction started on the addition of another Starbucks – this one is near the AMC Movie Theaters.
